Green Roof — EvoOrganic SoftSky™
Our Green Roof product set to launch in 2011 — SoftSky™ — represents significant advancement in a number of important “green roof” criteria. The system requires no tools to install. Depending on the soil mix, our SoftSky™ Green Roof System is up to 30% lighter than other methods. SoftSky™provides weed-free plant growth. And — we’re bragging a little here — we believe SoftSky™ may be one of the most water-efficient systems money can buy.
Temperatures in the ceiling area directly below a SoftSky™ roof average 6° Fahrenheit lower than areas not covered. This translates to savings around $450 per year per 1000 sq ft at current Kentucky energy rates for summer 2010. Savings usually increase when used in more extreme temperature conditions.
